North Korea

Big holiday in N.Korea today. They're expected to test another Nuke.... Apparently the USA have issued a warning to the Koreans, putting them and the world on notice.
N.Korea looks like they are gonna do the test anyway.
Probably some media sensationalism in there somewhere, but it looks like this game of brinkmanship could get messy....

Squeaky bum time!

I'm not commenting until I see what Jack Sullivan has to say on this.

Re: North Korea
What seems to be completely overlooked by mainstream media is that the North Korean missile/nuke tests always coincide with US/South Korean provocations.

Trump has had three significant tests of his Bona Fides just recently, and has failed all of them MISERABLY.

They are not firing nukes believe its just missiles

Re: North Korea
Not sure how advanced the North Koreans are in the nuke program but whenever they fire a test missile they seem to crash into the sea, maybe they are meant to do that but if they are aiming at something I don’t think the world has much to worry about……………….

Does seem to be a difficult one to sort out though and maybe one that should have been sorted earlier, sounds like the Chinese are changing there stance on the issue and rather than egging them on to provoke the West they seem more keen to stop them now, maybe they know how far they are from developing a weapon and with them being on there doorstep, the piss taking is over.

Re: North Korea
Can't pretend I've been paying close attention to the situation in N Korea over the last month or so, but I have the impression this escalated rather quickly, and seemingly out of nowhere. I can't recall any specific incident or series of MICRO-AGGRESSIONS on the part of Kim that have been different in quality or scale to his usual capers since he inherited the throne. Am I wrong? Did I miss something? Suddenly he's being seriously threatened by the Yanks. The cause-effect part of this seems missing or inadequate.

Anyway, if the Yanks are serious about wanting him out I suppose now would be a good time for a few Generals to take care of Kim internally. They should have done it years ago. Is the next Kim in the queue any less mental?

Re: North Korea
I'm fairly certain that if Trump wanted to exterminate the odious pillock, that keeps his people in poverty while glorifying himself into a god-like status, he could easily have it done. But then you don't know what a crazy General might do in retaliation....

It's the devil-you-know, Willtell. And the people (of ANY country) don't count. They never did, they never will.

Is it too late to cancel your holiday, Nutsin?

I'm a bit worried about you going there and you're unlikely to find a pub showing the match.

Re: North Korea
Like Ronald said, this happens every April. I live about 2 hours south of Seoul, and at the same time last year, I got a message from a friend asking me if I was ok because the western media were reporting Korea was on the brink of all out war. I look over at my Korean co worker and she was buying shoes online, so I just got on with my day.

At the moment, most Koreans aren't really concerned about anything. I usually follow their lead, but with Trump in charge, who the fuck knows. He's already bombed two countries in his first three months in charge so I wouldn't put it past him going after Kim Jong Un to show his supporters that despite his failures in congress, he's still the big dick.

My contract is up May 1st so I just hope if it does all kick off, they can at least wait til mid May!

Re: North Korea
The unnerving difference this time is Trump. As much as he is an utter bellend, he has so far followed up on nearly everything he's said even when the idea or plan was ridiculous. So when he says they'll "deal" with North Korea, alone if required, it certainly is squeaky bum time.

No-one knows how the North Koreans would react but my guess would be they won"t be in the mood to take any action lying down. And you have alot of potential for the situation to escalate, rapidly.

Just what the world needs right now........

Re: North Korea
They do some good marching, will give them that but there weapons seem a bit Micky mouse, problem is one cannot be sure they are total shit, only way to find out is to confront the fuckers, but if they are kosher, then...........................................BOOM

Chinese have stuck 100,000 troops on tbe boarder to help them out.

Re: North Korea
So the North Korean rocket blew up just off the launch pad. Whatever is said this is fast becoming a problem that previous generations should have put a stop to and didn't so don't blame Trump for not ignoring it and hoping it goes away.

Kim Jong Un needs exterminating by someone and preferably the Chinese need to get it done. If they don't and a country like N Korea has nukes how long before they use one or two or sell them to Islamic State...?

The minute the intel comes on that thyve worked out how to put a nunclear warhead on a missile, all their military research facilities will be bunker busted.

Re: North Korea
I think the Chinese troops on the border is not there to support North Korea, it is to stop the flood of refugees should it all kick off at a nuclear level, which I don't think it will.

The worrying factor this time is as a few have said is Trump. He declared that he want to build up the US armed forces and put America back to work, so what better way than to have a war? This has the making of being another Vietnam - with the Americans have large numbers based North Korea.
